Dark Dwelling is a blog that explores all aspects of day-to-day living with a gothic vibe, where I try to strike a balance between wonderful, garish Halloween kitsch and practical family life.
Tulips are common spring garden flowers in the UK, and they come in a huge array of colours and shapes. There are a few dark varieties, and one of the very darkest is the award-winning purple-black Triumph tulip: 'Paul Scherer'.
Hello! My name is Marie and I live in the UK with my husband and two young daughters. I like to wear the colour black. I like spiderweb patterns, bats, candelabras and horror films starring Vincent Price. I like some Gothic Rock, related music genres and spooky videogames.
I am rediscovering elements of myself that have become a bit buried in recent years, so many of the things I stumble upon and write about will be old news. Or maybe timeless. I'll look for recent music by bands I used to listen to, revamp my wardrobe (and eventually my home decor), visit creepily beautiful places and enjoy my darkly-inclined life. I don't get out much, and I can't promise to be interesting to anyone else, but you're very welcome to join me.
